slp tune?

im going to get a hand tuner for now coz the shop sead thay use one to tune on the dyno any way i just want to know if it is worth the xtra $ for the slp diablo or should i just get the standerd?

If all you plan to do with the car is play with shift points, skip shift, speedo calibration, rev limiter,,,than the handhelds are fine for that.
If you plan to keep the car I would do 1 of 2 things.

Invest that money in a software package like HPtuner,,,to have unlimited access to tuning, logging, diagnosing problems etc....Diagnosing codes alone is worth the money, being able to log while driving the car and watching different variables.

If that is too intimidating for you,,,and since I see you're from Cincinnati,,,I would suggest taking the car over to Dave's in Milford. He tunes the majority of stuff around here,,,,and he's cheap compared to most tuners.

If you are taking it to a shop and they are "tuning" your car with a handheld (some new SCT hardware excluded) I would think long and hard about it...

i have the slp version of the predator and i can say u definetely feel the difference when u upload the tune. i read somewhere on diablo's website that the slp tune is a little more aggressive than the standard diablo tunes.
i use my hand held all the time, to read diagnostics, turn off skip shift, change tire size, gear ratio ect......

thanks for the fead back im not sure what im going to do yet i still need to get some more parts 1st
