SES light after LT install
I recently installed long tube stainless steel headers and ORY. I tuned out the rear O2 codes with EFILive, but now I am getting P0135 and P0155 codes after driving awhile. The O2 sensors seem to be outputting properly. A mechanic friend suggested maybe too much heat is being disapated by the long tubes. Anyone else have this problem? I dont want to throw away $190 on new O2 sensors if that is not the problem. Thanks in advance.

i took a small flat head screwdriver and opened the little vents on my o2 sensors up a little more to get more exhaust into the o2 sensors and it made my codes go away, just a thought.361hp 351tq 98 Z/28 A4 SLP Lid/Smooth Bellow/LM2 K&N Filter Pacesetter Headers TSP Y Pipe Z06 Style Wheels B&M shifter Yank 3200 Prothane Motor/Trans Mounts Torquer V2/7.425" p-rods/Comp Springs

If I'm not mistaken these are codes for the heating element not working on the O2 sensors. We spliced the wires and installed but connectors after installing our long tubes. And had to replace the sensors and also bought some extensions. Cured my problem. I know it hurts paying that much for nothing but what do you do?

I put on extensions, not spliced. One O2 did not work at all so I replaced it with one of the rears and it seemed to work ok for awhile until the SES light came on with those codes. Would these codes come on immediately if the fuse was blown? Havent had time to check them yet. Right now it takes quite awhile for it to generate the codes.

Just go to the part store, and get the vette 02 sensors.. they are long enough so you don't have to worry about the extensions.. since they tend to give problems anyway.-Geno
