    SCT tuner???

I have a rather unique situation, I live far far away (Alaska) from any tuners, so I've decided to learn how tune myself. I have my mind set on HP tuners for my car after doing quite a bit of research; however my bro has a 96 Mustang GT with a built engine and nitrous and is moving here soon. His tuner used SCT to tune the Mustang and now that my bro will be far away from his tuner he wants to purchase the SCT software and learn to tune as well.
My bro wants me to use SCT as well so that we could save a few $$$. I tried talking him into HP tuners to find out that HP only does 05+ Mustangs. My question is has anybody here dealt with SCT on LS1's? Is SCT comparable to HP tuners?

I went to their website. It looks like it has all the features to tune with minus the scanning feature that HP Tuners and EFI Live come with. It also looks like you can only tune GM vehicles according to the shop online portion of the site. It looks like they make a wide variety of handheld tuners with canned tunes for Ford, GM, and Chrysler products. You would only be able to use that device on one vehicle.

Yea, I'm going to give them a call, from the website they make it seem like you couldn't tune a LS1 and Mustang with the same software.

If you message me i will give you a web site that has SCT tuners on it that are very good people. You can make any custom tune with SCT that you want and change anything as long as you have the software depending on which tuner you get SCT II or III its a plug and play you hook the tuner to your computer in the house and up load the file to it and then load to the car. I have used SCT on my Powerstroke 6.0 diesel and had them custom tune it for me.. But as for a LS tune off the SCT i no its possible but you would have to talk to some of these guys i can refer. I would post the site on this site. I don't do that so if you want it ask. Thanks
