Oxygen Sensor similar? Camaro
Hi all
My 2001 Camaro Z28 has 4 O2 sensors.
Before the cat and one after the cat.
1 Front Right
1 Front Left
1 Back Right
1 Back Left
So my questions, are the o2 similar? Can i change the o2 with any other ? Or are these not similar?
At the moment when i cruise and drive over the Highway i havent any problems. But when i get full throttle few times... than shows the SES light up. With the code P0430 and P0420... I have the cold air kit and another exhaust. My camaro z28 is a europe model, and have stock only the muffler from the v6 to drop the power on only 288 hp. Now i have a unknown high flow exhaust with a extrem deep and brutally sound. Could the cat not enough power to "clear" the new high flow emissions? Hes 90k miles run...
So thanks for the reading
Nice greets from switzerland

All 4 are the same. If you are getting a code on one, I'd swap it to see if the code swaps ! Good Luck !

plus once you figure out if its the actual o2 sensor, if you have headers, ive heard of people having problems with the o2s being moved down stream. if you need to buy new ones get the rear o2s for a corvette, they are suposed to have better heaters

i kept getting those codes all the time on my car. every once in a while it would tell my the car is running lean. its not that horrible of a problem. but if u get a good tune on the car and work out that air/fuel mixture it should be ok, as well as putting out more power.

420 and 430 are cat codes. Most of the time that ends up be the cats. 00-02 have an extended warranty on cats of 10yrs/120,000miles. This is the thread we talked about it in....post 13 http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread...nverter+policy
you can swap front to back but not every O2 is the same.
