No ses light after LT install

I just installed LT's in my 01 ws6 and expected the ses light to come on since I have no simms installed. To my surprise the light didn't come on. I was just wondering if this is normal. I had a cat go bad this summer and the light came on so I took it to the dealer and they put a new cat in for free. At least that's what they said, I'm wondering now if maybe they just tuned out the rear o2's and made off with some free warranty money. Anyway I have a guy lined up to do a tune next week, he is very hyped up about doing the tune for me. He says that he's going to do a speed density tune and I will really like the results, but I have no idea what this is. He said he'll sit im my car with a laptop and have me drive the car while he tunes it. And after that I can remove my MAF and A.I.R. from the car. I'm not sure if I want to remove my MAF, but I also don't want the car to run rich. It seems to be running fine right now, but I've only buzzed it around town a few times. Anyway I was just wondering if I should have the tune done or not and is $150.00 a fair price?

yeah usually takes a bit of driving for the code to pop...and no matter how low the price is make sure your tuner actually knows what he's doing before you commit...I'd be weary of a tuner thats gonna slap your car in SD mode for a very mild combination.
