    New to Dyno Tune

so im getting 1-7/8 Lts, Catted Y, new catback, and a new SLP FloPac installed on my car. im getting the skipshift taken off and the rear O2s deleted.
but i was wondering if they would be able to recalculate my speedometer to match up with 18s?
A guy i talked to at the local shop said that the nearest dyno tune was in Louisville, Ky (about and hour and a half away) basically i just need the basics about dyno tuning? etc. etc.
or would they be able to answer my questions there?
i just dont wanna walk in there an look like a complete dumbass.
Roberts Imports LLC is the place in Louisville...
and here are a few others...
    http://www.kentuckycruises.com/dyno.cfm

feel free to inform me on other dynos near evansville but i only found this one
i would send it to Frost...but its already gonna be in the garage for a week.

What exactly are your questions about DYNO tuning?

And yes, they will/can recalibrate the speedo.

If the car will be down for a week, that's the perfect time to mail it!

I will be back in Fort Wayne Indiana tuning within a month from now as well. I don't know how close you are to the area, but I can get you in while I am there.

bud all you have to do is show up with your car ..let them know your mods and any special requests (skip shift elimination etc raised shift points.) and they will do the rest. that is why you need to make sure you take your car to a good tuner that is used to lsx platform... just cant tune our cars if you have no experience with them. so find a shop that specializes in the lsx platform and take it there.

well i just want mine tuned after i get my SLP lid and full exhaust put on. i also need to get my speedo recalculated and my rear 02s deleted and my skip shift eliminated.
this is a daily driver not a drag racing car so i want it to be great on the highway too. ive read all of Frosts website and it sounds good. but wouldnt a dyno tune be better? J/W or what?

For your mods...not really. You are going to pay A LOT more for a full DYNO tune and not really get "that much" more out of it than what you would get from a mail order tune from Frost. I personally would go with the mail order tune and use the saved cash for another mod

100% agreed.....I would personally take advantage of Frost's offer to tune it in Fort Wayne but the second best scenario is definitely his mail order. For your mod list you're a perfect candidate.

Frost - Do you come out to FW often? I'm about 3 hours from there in NW, Indiana. I'm going to need a tune once I get my FI installed next spring

Just make sure first that before you allow someone to stick it on a dyno and tune that pcm....that you find out they have done it on cards like yours for more than a few months,,,,ask for refs from the guy OR ask the people lined up at his dyno,,

There is a place in Roseville California called MSI and a place in Antelope California called Force Fed Performance (keith is the main man),,,and let me tell you I have heard of horror stories from the MSI place,,,and they have a great dyno,,,and lots of customers,,BUT so far I have not found one customer that did not complain or cry that his dyno and tune burned his motor up...SO I only go to a well know proven DYNO man,,and that be Keith of Force Fed Performance in California,,Near Roseville and Sacramento,,,

So to recap,,,dont just trust anyone cuz they have a dyno,,,then cay truly screw the pooch for you,,,and leave you hanging,,go to someone that has proven IQ levels.,,.
