    MAP wiring

    i need to wire a LS3 MAP pigtal onto my LS1 harness, does anyone have the diagram for the LS3 MAP?

    1999 Formula WS6 M6-sold
    2001 Silverado Z71

    LS3 map
    Pin 1 - 5 volts - gray
    Pin 2 - Ground (low reference) - orange/black
    Pin 3 - Signal to PCM - light green

    will the wires be the same color on the ls1 harness?

    yes I believe the wire colors are the same, but the LS3 sensor has them in a different order than the LS1

    Depending on your tuning platform, you may not be able to use it. It's offset and linear value are much different than the OEM genIII unit and you can't adjust those values in HPTuner's except for the boosted 2/3bar OS's.

    all i know is my tuner will be putting in a OS for SD tuning i dont know if that effects how the MAP reads im a newbi to the as far as HPtuners goes

    If you aren't boosted you are running 1bar SD, and the offset and linear cannot be set in the 1bar OS's. I'm just letting you know.

    im not boosted , what should i run for a MAP?

    From what Frost said, I'm guessing a standard LS1 MAP sensor. What exactly are you doing to your car? Swapping in a LS3??

    i have a LS3,24x Crank, forged internals, steel rings, -10cc diamond pistons,LS3 heads,G6X3 Cam,stock LS3 intake and injectors,LS3 MAP. Kooks LT's, electric dumps before Magnaflow Catts.

    does anyone have a easy fix to make the LS1 MAP fit in the intake?

    I came across this on another website. Its clear, thin walled 3/8" tubing over the seal and a fabbed hold down bracket.

    Or just thread a brass barb into the intake and run a line over to the LS1 sensor.
