    LS1 Transplant

I have just put an LS1 into a nissan patrol. All the wiring is done. We will not be running a BCM.I am having trouble with communication. HP Tuner will not talk to the ECU. All wiring appears to be correct and we assume that it is because it is looking for a BCM. Can we fool it to believe that a BCM is present until we can cut it out? Or should we be going about this differently.

Check out the ODBII power for power and proper wiring; HPT doesn't care whether there is a BCM or not.

You are probably right. I just connected GM TEch II, it powers up but will not talk either.

You probably already have this, but... this is what you need to talk to the PCM.
