    Lost tune?

Last night, after a spirited run resulting in the death of a 228r to my cheatr cam. My car started to buck and surge. It feels as if it lost it's tune. No codes were thrown though. Where should I start my search for the problem?

so, how's the 228r cammed car running after the race?

sounds like maybe a vacuum line or something popped off or you have some other issue going on there. The car just won't "lose" a tune. You have another issue if it was running fine before the race.

I think its possible just like loosing/corrupting a flash drive.. i dont know what type of memory/file system it is or anything.. but I dont think it would loose a tune without outside interference with another pc or something IE plugging it up into a computer.

Is it real had to start? Once it is started does it soind like it is going to fall on its face? Is there black smoke coming out of the exhaust? If so it could be that you MAF took a shit on you. When MAF fails they go to full rich and tells the car to dump more fuel in the engine that is needed for the amoint of air that is coming in.
    Happened to me it sucks.

Sort of forced to drive the car this am. Freakin Expedition on flat. Anyway, The SES light came on and the car threw P0135 and P0155x2. The car ran fine to work for 35 miles however. I have longtubes; so, maybe it was something freakish.

A corrupt PCM is a boat anchor. A PCM cannot just revert back to the OEM programming without being loaded for such.
