I'm mostly stock. Should I bother w/ a tune?
Well, I was going to finish my exhaust system off this summer with long tube headers and y-pipe combo. Plus a tune after it was installed.
Since the economy is so bad now,(though our great president won't admit it) I'm probably going to put it off. I just don't know if spending $1,500 on that is the best idea right now.
So, would it be worth the $500 to get a dyno tune from my local shop?
All I have now is a slp lid and a Corsa cat-back exhaust.
I'm an a4 by the way.
I really wanted that extra 40hp from a full exhaust and a tune, but I might be better off waiting.
What do you guys think?

now is the best time to buy it because of the economy. people trying to save money is why we are in a recession.
honestly, i think a lot of the power people gain from headers is actually from the tune. there are people getting over 320 to the wheels with just lids and catbacks and a good tune.
imo unless the tuner will give you a discount if you come again, i'd wait for the longtubes.

wait until you at least get headers before the tune. The tune without headers will net you a few hp but you'd be better off just waiting and then getting the tune.
