HPIII question (not the same old question)
I know about all the tuning programs out there just curious about something on the HP3. I know the tune is locked to the vehicle installed and stock tune kept in the unit. If this is done can it still adjust speedo readings on other cars or vice versa can I change it with HP3 and still have it useable on another vehicle. All I need is a damn speedo change and no one around me has HPTuners available to do this. I can get it tuned but I want to wait until I install the cam for a tune I just want the speedo changed so I can run it as is. I know theres plenty of hp3's out there that have the tune locked so just wondering if I can change that.

no. once it's installed into a car, it cannot be moved to another car, until it gets returned to stock.
and yes, this is a same old question.Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

another thing to remember is that when you uninstall it you have to uninstall the whole thing. You can't leave tranny settings or speedo settings or anything. If you don't uninstall the whole thing then it stays locked to your car and the next person that gets it won't be able to use it.

THESE HPP3 CAN BE UNLOCKED!!!!
A friend of mine bought a hpp3 for a lt1 off of this site, it was locked, he sent it to a guy in new york who unlocked it for $100, return shipping included.
http://www.pcmperformance.com/
however, if you have a tune in a car from a programmer, and then have the programmer unlocked, i dont think you could change/remove the tune in the vehicle......
