    Talking Holy Poop!!!

    If any of you remember my last thread in here about my car running like shit after H/C swap, I am here to update Frost did the mail order tune and told me the MAF could be bad but I didn't think so because it wasn't throwing any codes and it just sat in the trunk untouched while we did the swap. I pulled it out when I found a free replacement and low and behold the sensor was fucked. The plastic piece with the metal/sensors was bent two different ways. I put the different MAF in and BINGO......She runs like a raped fucking ape I love this car

    Its like a fucking light switch at 2500 rpms. Anything at 2500 rpms and below and punch it in 1st it will hook. At even 2600 rpms if you punch it, it will fry the fuck out of the tires in 1st. I hit 2nd and even 3rd I love and I mean love the 1000 more usable rpms

    I'll get a video tomorrow of the car. I have a race set up with a buddy and his 06 Duramax. It has head work,injectors,programmer,different intercooler/piping, and other shit I don't know of It also has a built tranny and he says its crazy so I have to bring my A game. Hopefully it doesn't rain and I'll get the race tomorrow. Another buddy wants to race me with his LT1 Camaro which is stock................POOR LT1

    my own thread But have a question. Lets say I get a 85mm Z06 MAF with the IAT built into it, what do I do with the wires for the old IAT? Do I cut them and cap them off at the end or what?

    There won't be any wires to mess with; your IAT is seperate. You need a plug in MAF adapter without IAT to use one of those MAFs. They will completely change the tuning of the car. I would wait to swap until you take the car to someone for further tuning that is in-person.

    Glad you found the MAF problem. You can take out the screen if it still has one. That will be good for a solid 8-12rwhp on your H/C setup.

    I didn't say "port" it, I said take the screen out. Your calibration is setup that way already anyhow as your notes had a descreened (and 'ported') MAF. It will not impact how the car drives except that you will get a little more out of WOT.

    I wouldn't suggest it if it was bad.

    I didn't know you tuned it for that, thought you were fucking with me I will never port a MAF again. Since I am getting a Z06 I don't believe they come with a screen I will wait to put it on til I mount the dyno
