The only way to find the cause is to have the trouble codes read with a scan tool and go from there. The codes will indicate which circuit/system is malfunctioning. Anything else is guesswork.

Start by going to your local autozone, they will read the codes in your comp for free. Look the codes up online to diagnose the problem yourself.

I went to autoZone and the code that came up was P1416. Do you know what website I can go to see what this code means?

from another site.....can't say it will fix or help you any.
"The most common reason for P1416 is a stuck passenger side A.I.R. check valve. Replacing the check valve is a pain because it is not located by the exhaust manifold like the one on driver side, it is behind the engine and most people have to remove the intake manifold to replace it.
Some people have fixed the problem by removing the hose going to it and spraying in brake parts cleaner followed by WD-40 and force it through with compressed air."

P1416 is an easy fix, you can do it yourself. Posted about this last year, part is probably a little higher now: www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1373 Should only take a couple minutes.

You can look up a short description of a code individually at www.obdii.com or for most codes (some of the trans codes aren't there) by year along with diagnostics at www.gearchatter.com
