Help for pcm newbie
I have a 99' LS1 T/A. I bought it with 90mm port/polished air mass meter, K&N filter, 1 3/4" long tubes, Y tube, flowmasters, and the car was professionally tuned. I think that then he went to a 3.73 richmond rear and 18" wheels with 245 40zr18 93w tires. The car now shifts way to early. It looks like the predator handheld will allow me to change shift points?
My question is will the device allow me to change my shift points, and with the mods on the car will the new "map" work or should I look for another way to do this? I believe the engine is stock otherwise. Thanks for your time, Mark
Turns out that the 2600 converter locking up is causing the bog, the previous owner took the car back to the tuner and the shift points are ok. I guess I need to switch back to a regular converter unless anyone has other suggestions.Last edited by Mark8fish; 05-09-2008 at 10:13 AM. Reason: bad info

the predator allows for shift point changes per gear.
he stated the car was professionally tuned. should go back to the tuner and have him work the shift points around.Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers
