Better off getting a custom tune like with tuning by frost or a dyno tune. Those handheld tuners really aren't worth the money as compared to a custom tune.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

    Handheld tuners are a waste.

MAF's are also a waste. Stay with the stocker.
Strut tower braces fall into this category as well.

Either pick up a gm MAF to upgrade or go speed density tune. Strut tower braces - is there a point to them?

Hook an engine hoist to them to lift the car maybe. Thats about it.

do all the mods you want, then get a tune, makes no sense to get a tune before you do mods,

start with headers, and consider egr delete,

then work up to cam/head swap

you'll have alot on your plate by then

You can get a tune right off the bat if you would like. Won't gain much though...but gains will still be had.

You want to get it tuned anytime you change something internal. Cam, heads, compression, etc...
Or put on a power adder. Nitrous, blower, turbo.

For that matter...I got a re-tune after my FAST90 got ported.

    Local.

    If only Frost was close...
I needed a tune in person. No way (even with someone as good as Frost) was mine getting a mail order.

this is dependent on your transmission and gear ratios,

ws6s and nonws6s have different rear gears

a4 ws6s get the worst mileage, and nonws6 m6s get the best, all because of gearing,

i dont know what gear ratios came on what, but maybe someone else will

    edit: apparently luos^
