have you messed with the alternator or wire harness lately?

Gen L terminal for GM is the circuit that turns on and off the alternator when need be. It sends a source voltage signal from the pcm to the back of the alternator to the stator windings to fire up the alternator...thus a check in that circuit would be your first start..go down to the alternator and there's only one small wire in a connector on the back...and trace that wire...or u can power down and isolate the circuit and disconnect the pcm connector and check resistance from the wire at the alt to the wire at the pcm

Haven't messed with the wiring harness at all or the alternator. Got it dyno tuned yesterday and that was one of the codes. I told the guy not to delete it and I'll trace the issue. I'll have to look tomorrow afternoon to see if the alternator is functioning proper or if I can find any loose wires

Checked ground wires and they all seem ok. Maybe this is a sign the alternator is on its way out?
