Frost Tuning
Does anybody know exactly what Frost does to the timing (if any) for the mail order tunes? Reason being, I'm installing nitrous and wanted to know how much timing to pull. It would be great if he doesn't advance it at all. Thanks in advance

you can tell him what your plans are and he'll set it up for you accordingly. Ideally you'd want a dual flash pcm or something so you can just run retarded timing when using the spray. How big of a shot are you wanting to run?

Thats the thing, I haven't been able to get ahold of him the past couple weeks, and ended up biting the bullet and bought the HSW Interface timing puller. I'm probably just gonna stick with a 100 shot for now but might step it up a couple pills shortly.

you should be fine on stock timing with a 100 shot....when you step it up is when you'll want to start pulling timing.

Yah, that's what I've been reading. But my question is does he mess with the timing at all on the mail order tunes. Sorry, let me rephrase, I've already sent my PCM to him a few months back, and just wanted to know what he does with the timing, if any at all. I would like to just hook it up and go, but if he advanced the timing at all, it's no longer safe for a 100 shot. Am I correct?

yeah....I would want to know where the timing is before spraying it. If he wasn't aware you were going to be spraying the car he most likely raised the timing a bit on it.

yah, that's what I was afraid of. Either way, with the timing puller I just bought, I can pull like 3 degrees out, so hopefully that puts it somewhere close back to stock timing. I might just stick with a 75 shot for now until I can get ahold of him and send my PCM back so he can work his magic. At least it will be a little bit safer

Anyone else have an idea on this matter?

I returned your PM here. I was away from this board for nearly a month. I don't want to be, but I have more work than I can do. Getting the mail orders and cars in the shop out on time trumps the web work. I can be gotten a hold of through email or you can call me at the shop. I pulled the number off of the site but of course if you have ever bought anything from me (tuning paid online included), the phone number is on the receipt.
