    Ebay Performance Chips

Anyone every buy one of those cheap chips off of ebay and try it? Will I notice any difference. This post boast an average of +62 horse. I am looking for +5-10 for $20.00 and I would be happy. Just want to see what others say. If not, can anyone recommend a cheap chip to cause a little performance gain.

DO NOT BUY THIS. They are a complete rip off and your engine will not benefit from it. I cannot stress how much these things are total bogus. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

Seems like your in the first stages of your modding... put that money towards a lid from any manufacturer. That will get you your 5 10 HP your looking for, and will actually do something.

DO NOT BUY THIS "CHIP". They are a waste of money.

Something like this is a good first mod. It just takes all the alternate air ways out to straighten out airflow. Look around and you'll find a good deal. I spent $70 on a used one and the goober shipped my a WS6 lower airbox for free. He didn't know what it was.

First of all our cars dont have "chips". They are flash memory. That would be the first warning sign.....

these are the same thing as the other "Chips" they sell on ebay. Basically all they are is a resistor that you can buy from redio shack for $.20.....They hook up where your IAT sensor is and by using a reisitor it trys to trick your computer into thinking that your motors running off cooler air than it is therefore increasing timing. Well, the same hot air and too much timing = ping and bad news. dont waste your money, there a joke.

That's funny, all your IAT table can do is REMOVE timing, it NEVER adds any. I didn't look at the link, but if it's just a resistor, depending on the value it will just make you knock in warm weather, or it could even be pulling timing ALL the time.
