dyno time
I was thinking about getting my car dyno tuned. How many miles would the shop run the car on the dyno?
I only ask this because a buddy of mine just got a 4.6L Marauder engine installed in his 2000 grand marquis. He took it to a place in Orange Park, Fl and when he got it back it had 2000 extra miles on the car. The shop said it was dyno miles. Does this sound extreme or normal?

sounds to me like someone at the shop went on vacation in a 2000 grand marquis with a marauder engine in it.

Holy crap, Yepp just like orion said, I had mine dyno tuned in less than 1/2 mile put on the clock. It depends on mods and how good your tunner is but theres no reason for 2000 miles.
J2001 SS, Its not the car its the Driver that matters....
