crank position sensor missing, SES ON
I took my 97 TA into the dealer to have them check an SES light. It was for the crankcase position sensor. They ordered it and went to install it and the front cover doesn't have a spot to put it in. The car runs just fine without it. I am wondering if there is a way to get rid of the SES light by tricking the PCM with a resistor or is there a place I can send to computer to to get rid of this.
Also how would I know if I replaced the front cover with the right one that the crankcase would also have the sensor in it to read it? Where can I find the part number for the block?
Thanks!
