    Clearing codes without scanner?

Can I just unhook the negative battery terminal for a few minutes to clear the codes? I just finished a repair and I don't have a scanner to clear them with. I'd rather not have to run out to Advance again tomorrow and let them clear 'em.

Disconnecting the battery didn't seem to work.

This is how I used to do it before I bought a Predator:

Turn key on, don't start car
Pull PCM BATT and PCM IGN fuses in engine compartment
    Wait 5-10 min
    Turn ignition off
    Replace fuses

That will work fine, but when you crank the car it takes it a few minutes to relearn the system after you crank the car.

Yeah, sorry I forgot to mention that - idle will "hunt" and car will be a little grumpy for a few miles.

what you can do is disconnect the positive and negative and touch the 2 cables together that drains the battery in the pcm that stores the memory for the ses light

Whats gonna happen you dont have the battery hooked up all it does is drain the capacitors in the pcm ive done it several times on cars when i didnt have a scanner.
