    Check Engine Light Codes

    Hey Guys,

I was trying to use the link in the sticky but it didnt seem to work for me. I dont want to post in the wrong place but my check engine light has been on since I got the new exhaust. There are no Cats but I just want to make sure that these codes not something serious and hopefully a mail order tune can fix this light!

    PO1404
    PO1416
    PO1154

This is just what the guy gave me and he couldnt find the codes in his books any help would be great!

    Thanks in Advance!

Do you have any idea what these are?

Would a tune fix this kind of problem?

I couldnt begin to tell you what any of the three are and I just want to make sure they arent going to mess up my car. I am hoping its just caused from no cats or back pressure or something lol

1416 is the passenger side check valve for the a.i.r. system....~$20 at NAPA. It sits on the exhaust manifold and has a tube running to it.
1404 could just be some carbon stuck in the egr valve
1154 is probably a dying passenger side front O2 depending on the mileage....you could try swapping the O2 to the drivers side and see if the code follows it.

Thanks Orion, Ill see which ones of those I can fix lol I was just concerned it might be something bad that I shouldnt be driving on. Wouldn't a mail order tune fix 1154 since it would eliminate the O2 sensors or am I wrong? And is there anything I can do for the 1404. I am not very familiar with my engine im sorry idk what I can do and what not, im used to my old 1986 trans am where everything was just simpler. lol

P1404 EGR and P1416 AIR can be 'fixed' with a tune if you ask the tuner to remove/disable the EGR and AIR systems from the computer. Those 2 systems are for emissions. You can then remove those things and block off the holes they leave.
The P1154 front O2 sensor needs to be fixed, so slap a new sensor in there and that should hopefully fix it.
