    dyno or mail order but,
    there's a couple vin locked software packages that are dux delux in that price range, but the learning curve could be steep if you are asking this question. if you have a good working idea how obd2 works or willing to spend the time and effort to learn efi,hp,or dst is for you.

    Yes I believe the basic package gives you 6 credits if memory serves me. You will use 2 credits per car I think, and it's good for an infinite number of tuning sessions, and trucks use 3? From there you can buy extra credits to tune more cars for $50 if I remember correctly.

    base credits allows you to open up to 4 LS1 vehicles.
    Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

    You can do anything and everything to it with Hptuners. Makes a hand held look like childs play. Although I admit the handhelds do have their place.

    hypertech max energy will do all of the above in under 5 minutes... the device is small enough to keep in your car, i think i got mine for about $400 from autoanything
