Autometer guage pod too big for the XD16?

So I finally got my single gauge pod from autometer today so I can mount up my innovate XD-16 but one problem,
    ITS TOO DAMN BIG!
Anyone ever have this problem and how can you fix it?

*edit* when I say its too big, the gauge just drops right through the pod

I'm not gauge expert but I do know they come in 2 sizes. 2 1/16" and 2 5/8". Sure you got the right size pod for your gauge? I don't even know if they make pods for both sizes but I would bet they do. Measure them and see what the difference is.

I wasn't aware of that. I found only one size from autometer and I know people have used them with the XD 16

Like Orion said, 2 different sizes. Sounds like you have 2 different sizes obviously.

Do like Orion and I did and stick the sucker right in your vent with some rubber coupling's.

there's a picture of mine in THIS write up. I thought I put the size of the couplers in there but I didn't. You actually need 2.....one that fits the gauge and one that fits the vent. They fit in there nice and tight too. I think I left the stickers off of them in my tool box so I can look there for the sizes. I want to say it was 2" and 2.5" couplers but I'm not sure.

Sweet, I would do it but I have the 93-96 interior and I dont have circle vents.
Would all that wiring be the same with an LT1 or is there another write up for an LC1/LT1?

    Those sizes sound right.
