Question Yup my 10 bolt definitely just went bye bye!

OK so i blew up the good old GM 10 bolt on my 2002 ws6 TA A4, I'm definitely not gonna spend any money on a 10 bolt. Looking to upgrade to a 12 bolt or a 9inch but here is the deal I've heard a lot of things about the moser 12 and the strange s60 and so far its like choosing between a coke and a Pepsi. I need some help on deciding what to go with, so if there is anyone out there that is running a moser 12 bolt or the strange s60 please give me your opinion or experience on which ever one your using!

As the owner of a Moser 12 bolt... go buy the Strange 12 bolt. The S60 is a monster and probably overkill unless you are putting down big numbers.

well this is what i've done to the car so far,Texas Speed Torquer 2 232/234 .595/.598 Camshaft with 112 lobe separation, mahle forged piston, Ls6 243 ported heads, headers, full exhaust, volant cold air intake, granatelli aftermarket fuel pump 255LPH, zex nitrous oxide with a 175 shot, and i believe that about sums it up.

Since you are an A4 (like me) a 12 bolt is more than adequate imo. Added benefits of a 12 bolt over the other rears are less weight and greater efficiency.

That's very true, have you ran into any problems with your moser 12 bolt, as far as installing it or whining sounds driving down the highway or any bolts backing out? lol

Only issue I have is a whine around 1,800 r.p.m. under steady cruise conditions. I attribute part of this to the fact that I run a tunnel mount torque arm and that transmits more noise into the cabin.

I know on the strange you have to upgrade your drive shaft since it will be slightly shorter, but do you have to do the same thing a moser?

That's a very nice set up you did with the pictures and everything, i will probably refer back to your thread when I'm installing mine but if you don't mind me asking and I'm sure you posted it somewhere on your thread but where did you end up purchasing your 12 bolt from?

Yea I've looked at their site and pricing, that's a pretty cool looking rear end cover you have on yours, did you get that directly from moser?

Highly recommend ordering direct from moser.i ordered my moser 12 bolt through a speedshop and they screwed up my order and wouldn't pay for their mistakes and it cost me a extra 200 bucks and my car sat on a lift for a extra week at my installer.and jeff my moser whines like hell around 60-70 mph.i would actually recommend the strange 12 bolt.

See Post #2 in this thread. I also recommended a Strange 12 bolt.

Yeah.saw that, real pain for me is that because of thunderracing's screw ups i paid more in the end than what the strange 12 would have cost.
