will this rear work with my car? and is it better?please help

IT'S 7.5 OEM Eaton Positraction Locking 3 series carrier for the 10 bolt 7.5 rear ends with 28 spline axles and gm3.73 gears matching set 11 on pinion and 41 on ring gear ...i have a 2000 z28 a4 with code gu2...273's<---ewww! and a 2 series carrier.... i know the 373's are better im asking about the eaton positraction locking 3 series carrier.... how much different is it than the stock one? other than being 3 series versus 2 series? a guy i know is selling this set up to me for an unbelievable offer...i know alot of people go with the limited slip but keep in mind this is all for 250$ in perfect working order and barely any miles on it

Well to run those gears you will have to have the 3 series carrier. What is the rearend out of? If it is out of another F-body then yes it will work.

it will fit ... im just wondering about the type of eaton that it is...its a locking not a limited slip

why would you want to replace the ten bolt with another ten bolt?

its not the entire rear...its the carrier and the gears...thats why

Lockers just make more noise during turns. They also will lock on you in a turn if you apply enough gas. You will just hear a lot of racheting and clacking during turns so it depends on if you can handle that or not.
