This car rides on C5 Z06 wheels with BFG KDW II's (295's in back) and will never get slicks or be taken to the track for that matter. What rearend do you guys recommend? I'm thinking the 10 bolt might blow up during the 400-450whp dyno pulls.
If you don't do hard launches, your 10 bolt might hold up, especially with an auto. Have fun with it and get to know someone with a car trailer to help you out one night when it does go. Then go buy a Ford 9". Myself, I just bypassed the last step and went and bought one so I can sleep better at night and oh ya, run slicks at the local 1/4 mile track.
No seriously, it's all how you drive the car, do a bunch of burnouts, and 3-4k launches, expect to change your rearend out sooner rather than later. Drive like your everyday 60 year old lady, it will last forever.
I have witnessed 3 10 bolts breaking, 1 at the track, (we all went down to help push it off the track on a floorjack, pretty embarassing) and 2 on the street ( hearing a loud pop over the engine can't be any good.
