Strange uses factory brackets that are setup in the stock location. all of your factory bolt ons, and aftermarket will work. they even supply longer end links to accomodate the difference in the axle tubes. it is truely a bolt in setup, and there are no clearance or geometry issues as seen with the 9"

It's not needed with your setup, but hey, it's the best bang for the buck rear you can get. It's cheaper than 12bolts and stronger than a 9". So I would say go with it and never worry about the rear again. Only downfall I see with it is that it is heavy. But who cares.

Had an S60, replaced it with 9".

The S60 I got from strange had numerous problems that the strange dealer could not fix. Howled badly, they replaced R&P and all bearings and still howled so bad people would turn around on the street to see what the noise was. The axles were machined off center and the TCS/ABS would not work. A vendor stood up and made strange buy it back. Strange would not replace the whole assembly.

Make sure you buy the rearend from a shop that assembles the rear axle themselves. I don't think the axle manufactures spend enough time setting these things up.

I went with a 9" housing from Moser and the center section was put together with Strange case and OEM 3.89 gear using a true tac posi. The 9" True trac has 100 ft lb preload which makes doing burnouts at the track alot easier also. 9" has alot more gear raitos to choose from and the center section can be dropped out and sent off for gear changes or ?

well i think im going to do the s60 after a little more research. I dont think my little girdled stocker will hold the gas for long. I think it would be the best choice if there are going to be future mods.
    finally 551 RWHP!!!!
