I put in 3.73's in mine. I have the 6-speed. Noticible takeoff difference. 4.10's I think are more for a drag strip use. 3.73's are a good happy medium. Either way, you will be happy. The shorter gears will obviously get you better gas mileage, but the taller ones will give you a better takeoff. It depends on what you are planning for this beast.

I have AAM 3.73 Gears. AAM (american axle manufacturer) They are the ones who make the stock gears for GM. My gears don't whine or any thing very pleased plus you will get better gas mileage

Well, I drive mine pretty hard so I got about 20. Now I think that its ducked down past that...around 15-20 due to the computer tune, my hard driving, and the new cam

yeah I have a 6 speed. It is kind of hard to say what kind of gas mileage I am getting cause my car only has 9000 miles on it so truthfully I don't think that the motor is fully broke in. I had some friends with 4.10's and they were pretty bad ass. And like I said I don't really do much high way driving.

better acceleration over stock. like said before though gotta be careful with stock rear. You should be fine for now but once you start modding heavy you should look into get a 12 bolt rear end. I am talking when you are looking into getting your heads and cam type stuff or FI, NOS etc. You will be thrilled once those new 4.10s are broke in and you can really romp it. will feel alot stronger down low.

Get 4:10's. Your clutch will hold better with 4:10s also. Fwiw when I put them in my six speed my miles per gallon didn't even drop more than 1.
