    Red 1989 Formula

    I use royal purple on mine. Works good

    Post 75w-110

    Whatever brand of gear lube you choose, go with SAE 75W-110 rather than the SAE 75W-90. You’ll have less potential for differential chatter with the 75W-110.

    I have run redling in my rear for a while and then royal purple since that's what they had at the local auto store. Never noticed a difference. Make sure you get the GM additive for the rear as well.

    The guy who has done my last 4 diffs has always put the thicker oil i think its 85W-140, i do remember him saying 140. He said its less likely to make noise and protects better, i go with what he says since ive never had an issue in any of my Fbods that ive taken to him.
