What all is needed to bolt up T-56 to 383?
Hi, I am wanting to convert to manual. I have a 1966 Chevrolet C-10 with the same old run of the mill 383 stroker with a solid roller camshaft producing 625hp. I was wondering, as it was originally a TH-350 tranny with floor mounted shifter, what all would need to be replaced/done to bolt up a T-56. Also, what clutch would ya'll reccomend, its making 575ft-lbs of torque.

I'd get a Spec Stage 3+ clutch and a Fidanza flywheel. As for installation, you'll need a tranny crossmember for sure. I think I've seen crossmembers specifically for those trucks and a T56. I have a 69 and did a little research about doing the same not long ago.
