Truck 10 bolt worth the effort?

Just as the title reads. I have access to a truck 10 bolt with no ABS and drum brakes. Asside from being a 6 lug, is there any way to make it fit a Camaro with the torque arm mounts and 3 channel reluctor ring etc, etc, or is it even worth the effort? Is there any great advantage over the F body 10 bolt or is it better to just save up for a 12bolt or 9in?

With enough money and work, anything can be made to fit. That said, it'll take a lot of each to make that rear work. Save for a 9" or 12 bolt made for a f-body, would be my advice. You'll spend a lot less, and it'll be a much easier installation.

Kinda what I figured. I think I'm going with a truetrac and aftermarket axles and see how long that lasts for now. I'm doing other things to the car that involves it sitting for a while so I'm not too interested in jumping into stuffing a big axle under it just yet

If you can afford the extra coin, the WaveTrac is a more robust set-up than the TrueTrac. I have the Moser 9" TrueTrac as well and am putting a lot of power through it. To date I have not had any issues. Been running it for around 4 years now.

They don't make a wave track for a 10 bolt or I would have one under my truck. I have a valuetrac in that thing and have had 0 problems. Not even chatter like the mfg. claims you will have with the cheaper version. If I ever go with a 12 bolt or a 9 inch I might consider the wavetrack but that truetrac rip off is working good for me so far. I don't think I will ever have one in my truck since they don't even make it for the 14 bolt either

I misunderstood. I mentioned that because Walt mentioned going with a 9" possibly, and then you started talking about the TrueTrac. I didn't realize you meant putting that in your existing 10-bolt rear. Oops.
