Transmission cooler
How about some pics of how yours is mounted and where the hoses are routed? I need to install one on our car and rather than "reinventing the wheel" figured it is just easier to see what has worked for you. With the F-body radiator being mounted at an angle, the B&M stacked plate cooler seems to block too much of the gap above the air dam imo.

Mine was mounted against the condensor, and I bent and flared steel lines to connect it all. I didn't want rubber lines for the tranny to travel too far. Actually tech at the track will limit you to 12" total (if they actually check for it), just a heads up.
Let me see if I have any pics of it here.

Never thought to run steel lines -- good idea. Thoughts on stacked plate versus tube and fin? I have both styles and the stacked plate is quite a bit thicker.

I run a stack plate style on my chevelle and I do like it better. I used a thinner fin/tube style on the 4th gen because I didn't have as much room to work with.

What stall converter are you running in the 4th gen?

Here is my set-up, B&M cooler, decided to still use the stock one in series since the model i got does not have the low temp bypass feature. Car has a yank 3600ss stall too.
I originally had bypassed the cooler, here is a pic of that set-up

Looks like it does not obstruct as much airflow turned like that -- good idea.

Mine^
You could put one where the airpump is and make a scoop to force air to it.

I still have the box here somewhere. Give me some time tomorrow and I'll dig it out and see exactly what model cooler that is.
Yes that is SLP's cold air setup in there as well. It all fits rather snug but it works. I was told years ago that it couldn't be done, so that was insentive to do it and see how it worked

It's tranny fluid for sure. I face tightened it down a bit more with no results. I also checked for cracks. I got in a wreck, had to remove and replace the old radiator.
