Switching from Automatic to Six Speed

I have a 98 T/A with the 4L60e automatic transmission. I ran across a Six Speed out of a 97 WS6 T/A. It comes with the pedals and maybe the shifter. It has 41K miles. He's asking $800.00...is this a fair price? I'll have to buy a clutch and flywheel.

Will the swap work? Will I need a different computer? What about the drive shaft, is it the same?, what else needs done??

My car is a nice one...it's fun to drive even though it is an automatic. If I do this swap will it be as fast a T/A that came with a six speed? Will it fit in there and look stock? (I know I might have to change the console too)

Any ideas?

I think you will need to cut open the tunnel and remove the auto braket and get a 6 speed consol. PCM I'm not sure about but more than likely. No reason it wouldn't run like a factory car as long as the PCM is setup for the 6 speed and you have a good gear out back.
What rear gears do you have?

an LT1 6 speed wont work with an LS1 unless you get an adapter i think or might not work at all different hydraulic set up.

I think it had something to do with the input shaft had to be changed

Sounds like a headache in the making.
I think I would consider trading for a factory 6 speed if you really want to go that way.
