stock ford 9"
i just picked up a complete factory ford 9" out of a pick-up truck for $100.00 I was wondering if it would be cheaper to rebuild it and have it cut down and bracket's welded on it so it could fit in my SS or just buy a complete already setup rear end?

If you know how to do some fabrication, and can weld. It will be way cheaper. If not, will probably be just about the same price, and alot less headache to go the other route.

Are the gears in the truck center any good?
Does it have a LSD in it?
You can buy just an empty F-body 9" housing and use the center section from the one you have and then just buy axels and an install kit. Or Buy a housing with axels and just have the center gone through and install it.
