saving the life of my rear end? quick questions

Ok guys so I wanna save my rear end as much as possible. I dont do much dig racing (mostly roll). But when we do a low roll like 20ish i spin a lot and get a lot of wheel hop. I heard that wheel hop kills the rearend quicker. So im thinking of getting an aftermarket torque arm, and new poly urethane tranny/motor mounts. Anything else i need to keep my car from wheel hoping? or save the life of my rear end? panhard bar? LCAs?

    thanks you for your time

I would think urethane mounts and LCA's would cure it. A4 or M6?

I dont think there is anway to avoid it honestly, better suspension parts = hooking better, more stress on the rear. the only real way to save it is not to put any stress on it.

its an M6... and im currently on stock suspension. Do you guys feel that the torque arm with stiffer mounts for the trans/motor help eliminate wheel hop?

I used to have trouble with wheelhop. It would only happen when I tried to launch hard at the street, and then moved to start happening at the track as well. LCAs helped some, but did not resolve the problem. What has helped so far, at least on the street (have not taken it to the track yet) was putting a set of Konis for the rear (set to full soft).

I heard the V6 springs were pretty soft too?
Anyone run with V6 springs in the rear?
and if so how would it help suspension?

my buddy got a spohn tunnel mount torque arm on his firehawk. he used to have hop issues, but they 100% dissapeared. I would definetly advise gettin the tunnel mounted adjustable torque arm, and LCA relocation brackets

I have just replaced the back two since I am going to be putting a 9" in soon and will have them half way off anyways. The Konis seemed to have been the one thing to help me though. Imagine there might have been something else that could have done it. I won't be able to test anything at the track for a while though and I might even have the 9" in by then.

Competion Engineering make 3 way adjustable drag shocks for the rear of F-bodys. I've got a pair on the rear of my Z28 and I haven't had any wheel hop since. They aren't very expensive and they don't make them for the front. So you can forget about a matching set all the way round. But they do the job like they are suppose too!

Instead of a new torque arm try one of these with a poly bushing.

When I put one on mine it did do things but nothing for wheel hop. It is nice not having the tranny jump around as much though. That and knowing my tailshaft will not break from the torque arm.
