ring and pinion...tires?
i have a 99 ss m6 and i want to put 4:10s in the rear end and i was told to run them i need to buy tires that are 28 inches or taller???????? does anyone know about the gears and tire size matching?

wouldnt that defeat the purpose of the gear change? U need to get ur computer retuned for the gear change via Hypertech PP3 or ls1 edit or some other sort computer programming software.

going to 4.10 gears cut off top end mph pretty good. that's why you go to taller tires. you don't have to get get taller tires. i ran 4.10 with stock diameter tires. great acceleration. just ran 70 mph at 3000 rpms in 4th (auto).
