replacing rear bearings bolt in differential stuck

Im replacing the rear wheel bearings in my 2000 trans am. Never done this before ive got the brakes rotors off n the cover to the differential popped of now im at the point where im suppose to remove a bolt that holds in what i believe to be called a cross shaft. im using a 8mm open ended to try to turn this bolt but its starting to stip. its to narrow to get a socket wrench in there n im wondering if its safe to spray bolt breaker in there or what the hell to do to loosen this bolt cuz i know it and the cross shaft have to come out so i can remove the axle shaft to replace the old bearings and seals.

There is locktight applied to that bolt from the factory. Don't use a 12 pt wrench.. especially the open end,it will round the head of the bolt. I use a shallow 1/4" drive 6 pt 5/16 socket as it is slightly smaller that an 8mm.

It is alright to use penetrating oil on the bolt.
You can even use a torch just don't go crazy with it and melt anything.

Get another socket wrench. Heat the carrier around the bolt with a torch, bolt should come out with ease.
