Rear End Noise , Wheel bearing?

Ok so I have developed this pulsating whoom whoom whoom noise, or kind of a whirr whirr whirr noise from the rear. Also a friend had my car on a lift and put it in gear to listen and though the tire was wobbling a little bit like the axle may be bent. Does this sound like a bent axle/ wheel bearing problem to you guys?

Sounds like the noise my axle/wheel bearing made.

Mine wouldn't make the noise if the car was on a lift. It needed to have the weight of the car on it. When you slide the axle out look at the bearing surface and you'll see exactly where the noise is coming from.

Word of advise: If you have the Torsen L/S, DO NOT try the repair bearing, unless you really dig axle work and want to do it twice.

Go ahead and order the new axle and get bearing/seal from GM dealer.

My axle is now quiet as a mouse and I can hear everything else under there making noise
