Rear End Noise Help Needed....
My new to me '02 SS M6 makes a constant noise from the back end. It does not sound like r&p noise, no growl, or whine. Sounds more like a brake wear indicator dragging, but doubt that's it.
Does this sound typical of a bearing noise? If so, how difficult is it to replace?
Planning a complete fluid, filter, plug change shortly so I know where I stand maintence wise.
Car has 3.42 gears and 111K miles on it. It has also been lowered if this has any relevance.
Thanks!

It could very well be a hanged up caliper or the backing plate of the brake pad itself rubbing against the mounting bracket.
I would remove the pads and put silicone where the pad tabs rest against the bracket. Also make sure your caliper pins are greased. Start with the easy/cheap stuff first.
I believe a bad bearing would be pretty loud.
Is it only on one side? Does it matter whether you are going straight or through a turn?
You could also see if one rotor is warmer than the other after driving a short while. This would tell you if the brake is hanging up on the one side.

Replaced the axle, pinion, and carrier bearings, nice and quiet now!
