Rear End Gears

Hey does anyone have 2002 trans am automatic with 4'11 gears, I got 3'42s right now and thinking about upgrading to 4'11s and was wanting to know if anyone had those and how much of a difference it makes in your RPMs and your top speed anyways please let me know I'm gonna try and make this upgrade very soon.

I just upgraded ours from 3.23 to 3.73. For an A4, that's about as steep as you want to go if you do any highway driving.

That's what i figured, i was talking to someone about it yesterday and he was saying it doesn't really make too much of a difference in the RPMs about 200 to maybe 500, he's worked on a lot of Ls1 and used to have a hemi truck with 4'56s in it and drove it daily lol.

3.73 for auto unless you plan on getting a cam/converter that would want to see a lower gear like a 4.10. If you are leaving it stock, don't go paste 3.73 for an A4.

Its not stocked forged motor with cam, heads, headers, and stall converter. I'm probably gonna stick with 3'73s i already have problems hooking up from a dig so i don't think 4'11s would help any and plus i don't wanna lose my top end.
