    no it is a total rearend overhaul. and i was told it was lagit. i am still not sure though.

    Its not so much the fact that the case cant hold it or that you cant get better axle with more spline and a better carrier etc, its the simple fact that the ring gear is only 7.5" tall. A 9" is well a 9" gear and a twelve bolt is around 8.75" i believe. Theyre just much stronger plain and simple.

    no i understand that. i was not saying that you can convert a 10 bolt into a 9" i was just saying that you can rebuild your 10 bolt to support the extra hp
