Do you think it is worth my time trying to pump out the current oil to reuse?
How much did you spend on it?

That would be the key ?.

um, well, let's see. I think it was like 6 or 7 bucks for the additive. And I think 5 bucks per qt for the oil (two qts with a little left over plus all the spill on the ground). I used Valvoline 75w90. The Mobile one was like close 10 bucks a quart.

get a clean drain pan and let it pour into there. Then you can suction pump it back in after fixing the cap.

i thought about that too. I have a really big plastic drain pan I use. Its like the size of an XL pizza, maybe a little bigger. I'm messy so i need the giant size stuff.

knowing my luck I would end up picking out old gasket stuff, or taking a kitchen strainer hostage.

Do you have any speed shops close?

If so they should deal with Red Line I would pick up 2 quarts it already has the additive.

Or if you can wait I would go to Amsoil.com and order.

You will actually gain some power by reduced friction. NO you won't feel it.

thanks. I live "in the neighborhood" of Vinci. Deltona is a few miles north of Orlando down I-4 on the way to Daytona Beach.

so far it looks the same and no oil drips on the drive way. Maybe the RTV is good, it just looks terrible. I didn't know the gasket would be useless if I RTVed like that, oh well. I'm still on the fence, mostly lazy.
