Hi-Po and myself both have the PST aluminum drive shaft with the Moser 9".

We both got ours from Exotic Performance Plus located in Columbia, Indiana. They have pretty reasonable pricing.

Not sure if any sponsors on here sell them or not.

Some people have gone with the carbon fiber ones, but people have made mention of them being susceptible to road damage from rocks and other road debris.

The 3.5" Al PST one is good for 1000HP I believe.

Subscribed. I was informed that my soon-to-be-installed 12 bolt may require a change in driveshaft length as our car is an A4. I asked about this in another thread, but never received a reply.

I am not going to give a direct link, as they are not a sponsor, but if you go to their website you will see they only have (1) PST drive shaft available for F-body's.

Then they also have an option as to whether it's for a 9" or 12 bolt.

I know the drive shafts between the M6's and A4s are interchangeable for our cars, well at least I have read this on Tech.

I don't know about the Strange (which is what I remember you buying) but I believe the Moser 12-bolt with the 1350 yoke is about 1/2 inch longer (axle-centerline to U-joint centerline) than the original 10-bolt.

I purchased the Moser 12 bolt -- the guy at the speedshop thought that I might need a new driveshaft when I told him our car was an A4. I'll find out once the rear is installed and go from there. Good to know that the PST driveshafts are recommended. Just for giggles, I'll measure my driveshaft after I get it out and post it up in this thread.

I have a stock DS from my car in the basement. I could measure it as well and see how they compare.

All the racecars we build we get the shafts from strange engineering. They have alum. and chromoly. The moly is actually cheaper, we have put ours to the test with a 1600hp 69 dodge dart with no issues.

Is the PST the same diameter as a stock driveshaft? I remember a thread (I think it was yours) that showed pics of a new driveshaft install and it looked huge.

PST DS is 3.5" where the stock one is 3"

I measured the stock DS. From centerline of u-joint to centerline of u-joint I measured 41". The trans yoke measured 6.25".

The PST AL one has been tested at the track on a 1200HP car.

Didn't help that those pictures had my 4" exhuast right next to it. That probably made It look large.

Your not going to break the PST driveshaft. It is very strong.

This is what I'd go with. Strange chromoly. You can get them from Spohns website.
