Pinion Seal
Whose done it? I just did mine and when I put everything back together I found a washer that possibly goes between the yoke and the nut that holds the yoke. I don't remember taking that washer off but maybe it stayed stuck to the yoke and when I put the yoke down then it came off. I put everything back together and found that washer laying there, now I'm not sure if it belonged to my car though cause I did the work at school and there is always pieces like that laying around... I kept the washer anyways though just in case. So I need someone that has done this before to see if you guys remember a washer being between the yoke and the nut that holds the yoke...

I could go check my manual, but as far as I know... there should be a washer. What was your procedure for tightening the pinion nut?

I think there is one too but ahhh what a pain to take it apart again... I used a impact to tighten it ops: you think I could've damaged the bearing?
Moral of the story, don't let other people help you

There is definitely a washer between the nut and yoke. Tightening with an impact is fine if done correctly.
