noise coming from rear end?!?!
sup guys, have a question, I have a high pitch whining noise coming from the rear end. First of all let me say that, I took it to a rear end place for the rear end bearings, and fixed that problem, but now this high pitch whining noise just came from nowhere, I need help? let me know if it can be anything?

How long has it been since the repair? If not too long, the rear end needs a break in period. Find an empty parking lot and do tight circle figure 8's. Not fast ones, but that should massage your gears back into place. And then afterwards, change the diff fluid again. Make sure you put the limited slip additive in too.

You did of course remind your mechanic to inspect the OEM axles for damage didn't you ? In most cases if the bearings are making noise then your axles are also screwed . The factory axles do not have the heat-treated ends and are very soft so when the bearings go you better change em out right away .

my rear end started making some noise a few days ago, it doesnt always do it, but it makes a really loud hum at about 2800-3200 RPM's.
It actually sounds a lot like an aftermarket exhaust does. you know how it resonates at certain RPM's? but i have a factory exhaust
