I have the 3.5" aluminum PST driveshaft which is rated for 1200. It's a very nice piece. Jeff is running it too.
I got mine from Bob at EPP when he was selling parts. Can't recall what I paid for it, but it's worth the coin. I want to say - $425ish.
They have a carbon fiber piece which is even nicer, but more expensive of course.Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

They don't do stock length ones do they? I need a stock length one because I'm doing an 8.8 rear. All I found is strange that does stock length in the 3.5".

Nvm I found that PST does make them stock length.

Okay so I decided on the drive shaft I'm getting. It's a strange engineering 3.5" chromoly with chromoly solid 1350 joints and chromoly spicer yoke for the 10 bolt.
Once I get my 8.8 built I will be getting this flange to convert it to a 1350

PST shaft is larger diameter than stock, maybe 4" instead of 3.5". As far as I recall they build custom lengths - I needed mine around 5/8" shorter than stock.

Yours appears to be of exactly the same (if not slightly smaller) than the stock one next to it.

^^ Me?
If so, look where the shaft joins to the mounting flange -- you'll see the marked diameter difference. I even had to tweak my driveshaft safety loop because of how large the PST shaft is.

I'm fairly certain it's 3.5" diameter, Jeff. Perhaps the OEM is smaller than 3.5" then.

You can try a measuring tape and the hairy eyeball. I think stock is 3.5" and the PST is 4"... but it has been a number of years since I installed ours.

I found my receipt. It's 3.5" × 45-1/4".
I paid $400 for it.

Heck, now I am going to have to go look at mine again. Is the stock shaft only 3"?

It also depends on if you have an aluminum or steel drive shaft.
98's have an aluminum and I believe it's 3.5 to 4"
The 02 steel drive shaft I have in a corner is 3"

My drive shaft from 2002 is not steel, it's aluminum. I just researched it and what I found was that all driveshafts from 1998 to 2002 are aluminum and 3". V6 models had steel driveshafts as did older LT1 models. V6 models were 2 piece. Not sure on the accuracy of this, but mine is definitely AL.
