is my rear end strong enough?

i'm looking at putting some either M/T's or Hoosier tires on my rear wheels, but i've never done any upgrades to my rear end. will i break anything if i put these on?

    my mods are:

    Volant Cold Air Intake
    LS6 intake manifold
    LS6 Camshaft
    Long Tube Headers
    4L60E with shift kit
    3000 RPM Torque Converter
    4:10 Gears
    BBK Underdrive Pulley Kit
    SLP 160 degree Thermostat
    DiabloSport Chip

Absolutely, it's just a matter of time. Our cars have been known to break them stock. Once you start getting traction, they will break. And you really can't build them to take the power - ask me how I know. I break teeth off the gears now. That's why I'll be upgrading to a 9inch soon.

I wouldn't. It's no fun getting towed off the track, or blowing out on the road.

Adding insult to injury, two members in our local group have twisted their stock driveshafts with ET tires. Both running 10 bolts.
Btw both cars are mid 11 sec cars, and not all out crazy power

This is what our measly stock rears look like inside:

Your rear will last you right up until the moment it grenades.
