That is the only thing that has been changed on the car with the noise increase correct?
The installer is a Specialist for Moser and his credentials are impeccable and so are his referrences. He is going over the third member this weekend to determine if one of the new bearings were defective. When I picked the pig up, he repainted the teeth to show me a perfect mesh. And I saw the new bearings. I really can't get my mind away from thinking the problem is other than the 3rd member.

Well you mentioned the pad was gone and down to metal on the one side. Perhaps your brakes are hanging up. Did you check that yet? That would certainly be loud and a short drive around would town would generate enough heat to show that.

Lastly, only since it's not been said and I know it is probably a given, but have you checked the gear oil level in the rear end?

I understand you took it to a Moser specialist, but in my 33 years of existence, even a professional installer forgets to do something from time to time and makes a mistake My Moser rear end was having axle leak issues and after pulling the axle myself I found that the qualified, professional Moser installer put the axle seal in backwards which was causing gear oil to leak from the passenger side axle. Just saying, sometimes weird stuff happens.

35th-ANV-SS, Thanks for hanging in with me on this. I certainly value your imput. Your comment is comforting. If it's as simple as a problem with the setup, then it will be an easier fix and at least the problem will have been defined.
