How does the LS1, LS6 and LS7 Peddle Pressures compaire?
I have a '99 SS which has some mods but the stock LS1 clutch
is still in it. Tire diameter is stock and the axle ratio is 3.73.
Current dyno runs are 319 RWH and 325 ft lbs of torque. The
clutch is starting to slip every now and then.
The car is in the shop for heads, cam and LS6 intake and should
dial in around 450 RWH when it comes out. So it needs a clutch
now!
I am concerned about getting a clutch that will hold the power
but I do not want to live with a substantial increase in peddle
pressure as this is a strictly street driven car in a heavy traffic
area.
From what I have read it seems that either the LS6 or LS7 clutches
will hold the power but I dono about the peddle pressure. What
have you folks found on these clutches?
Is there some other clutch that I should consider?

I run the Spec 3+ and I love it. But mine is also not my every day driver. Only thing that I have noticed with the spec is that it chatters alittle from a dead stop. The pressure really isn't that much different from my stock clutch thought. It also holds alot of hp and tq. So if you plan on ever going alittle more power you might as well get alittle bigger than what you really need. Im only putting down 400rwhp and 465rwtq.(That is only at 5 p.s.i. plan on going 8 p.s.i. after I fix my broken 9" rearend) But the Spec is what I would recommened.
